1 skip killed my day =(

well after checking out some new cars with my friend we were going to go to another car lot when i got in his truck BOOM!!! my heart wobbles and then it took off racing and pounding like its going to explode, off to the ER i run cause im scared and cant stop the feeling which keeps causing rushes of adrenaline. i guess im doomed to this cycle for ever now. 5 months ago i was symptom PVC, PAC, skip, wobble free, not im a freaking mess waiting for a heart attack or at least my heart to explode from how hard it was beating. by the time i get to the ER my pulse is 74 and normal, BP was 121/92 and 136/90 after i left, better than when i usually go with a bp of 170/95 which would go down to normal after 30 minutes. sucks i cant just enjoy my early adulthood without constant chest, back arm and jaw pain, GERD dosnt help at all. well just needed to vent. i just want to be a kid again

also been having fluttering right to the left under my left nipple, but when i check my pulse it feels normal and regular, what could that be? and were is the heart actually located, i always thought it was in the middle of my check tilted to the left alittle bit....

Sorry you are feeling like this. I too was symptom free up until this past June. Hit me like a ton of bricks. Hope you feel better soon. I know how stressful it is. Were you having any PVCs at er? Hang in there.

Nope none. I still havnt even been diagnosed with them. None of my ekgs have caught one, stress test didnt catch it, echo either. Now im just waiting for my holter monitor results. I gave it back on Oct 4th. I hate having county insurance. Getin an appt is super slow. I wish one of these bumps were caught so i would know what im dealing with. Ekgs come back either normal or nonspecific t wave abnormality. I think my t waves randomly flatten.

the heart is in the center and slightly to the left (as you get towards the lower part of the heart). True heart attack pain is felt in the center of the chest and feels like an elephant is sitting on your chest, you cannot catch a breath.

Now, that isn't to say that everyone is not different, this is just what is "normal"

Dude, you are far too somatically aware right now. You gotta talk to a mental health professional, and retrain that good brain of yours to focus on something else other than every single thump and flutter. Face it, we all need to do that to a greater or lesser degree, and right now, you are in a bad place in terms of focusing on everything your body is doing. I feel for you and wish I could help--a good therapist would do some alternative senario thinking and some behavior therapy, and it would help you tremendously. YOU DON"T have heart disease--you need to refocus your mind on alternatives. If you need some suggestions, P.M. me and I will give you some ideas.

I agree with David. I would also pick up the book reverse and prevent heart disease if a heart attack is what you are worried out. It's a great book and heart disease runs rampant in my dads side of the family. But so you know there has not been any evidence that people who suffer from palpitations will develop heart disease more so than non-sufferers. Diet, etc has more to do with risk. If you have GERD you should seriously consider getting that treated as my cardiologist said acid reflux can cause palpitations. I'd get allergy tested for foods so you can cut out the reflux or whatever the doctor says and try the aloe gel for that too I've heard great things about it. I have it my cabinet but haven't tried it yet.

I know. I hath. Being super focused on my heart. I dont know my dads side of the family so i have no one nedical history on them. I want to see a therapist which i will in january. I hate county insurance and according to mental health they do not have CBT which i would like. Ive tried zoloft which gave me all day panic attack, prozac was good for 3me days then made me cry and super sensative with suicidal thoughts which scared me so i stoped it. Ive heard nothing but good things about lexipro but one again county insurance does not pay for lexipro, only celexa. Ill take any med that will make all this go away (besides beta blockers or ccb's) ive also quit smoking 2 months ago which i thought would help (was i very wrong) ive been angry, mean, figity, all thee above. My pain has goton worse also. I now have no more vices being i dont drink at all or smoke, people laugh cause im irish/mexican and i dont drink. Well i just need help and cant wait to get it.

Sorry for any mistakes, one again im on my cell phone

Katie is right--"Reverse and Prevent" is an excellent book. I also recommend the "Relaxation Response" to slow down one's "fight or flight" response that causes a lot of the panic anxiety that creates this whole syndrome. There are others that I will recommend as you get into these--they are both basic ones.
