arrhythmia causes weight loss?

Can arrhythmia cause weight loss? I tend to lose weight gradually when my hear rate goes up. I first noticed it before I was being treated for arrhythmia. I'm now taking metoprolol ER (50 mg 2x/day) and I also notice weight declines when my heart rate goes up to around 100. (My BP was 99/68
this morning and the rate was 99.)

I am assuming you mean when you have a spnstabt high HR? I don't think your HR going up occasionally is roping any weight loss. Maybe the stress from it all.

I would think its the stress of it all thats doing it to you. If my PVCs are bad it depresses me and can cause my motabolism to slow down.

I definetly think it's stress causing the weightloss. I can't eat if I'm too stressed. The heart rate increase I doubt makes your body think that ur running or something it's more electrical than physical - but I could be wrong.

It is the stress, I have lost 20 pounds from all this anxiety, I am glad to loose it, but, what a way to go about it.
