David I think you are making things a bit bigger then what they were intended to be. I do not beleive anyone was offended, I just think your wording may have been a bit off.

Many of us enjoy reading your posts and your reassurance is truly appreciated. I do not believe that remaining silent will be of help to anyone or to yourself. It is why we are here, to all have opinions of what works and what does not. And you always set us at ease when someone comes on the board and posts things which only cause us fear etc.

So by not posting anymore, I do not think you are making the right choice as we enjoy your company and your insight very much. But the choice is yours either way, I support your decision.

I'm starting to get tired of people coming here, sharing their stories and truly helping others then post their "goodbyes" because "someone" had a problem with verbage of a post. That is just too much drama and not the goal when this forum was originally set up.
I for one have no idea what you are referring to. This is an open forum and everyone is allowed to express their opinions. If you come on too strong and someone suggests that, then take it for what it is and hold back when responding to the specific posters that are having the issues.
David - do not leave this forum. This forum is here for everyone to offer support and receive support and I see it as a life long avenue. Your posts have helped reassure me many times. If you leave, I will take it personal as I count on you. That is important enough. Many of us count on you. Don't let us down. I don't think your personality will allow you to do this to your friends. At least I hope not.

Okay Jodie, I won't leave. But, if somebody posts something that I KNOW to be utter crap and not in the best interests of the skippers, I will say exactly that. I have "cojones grandes," and am not afraid to speak up when someone is throwing the bull. Is that okay with you as moderator? I won't sugar coat it if the person is full of crap, and spouting stuff that is both misinformative and misleading to our people.

If you think they are wrong, maybe just prior to "speaking up" you might just want to start your comment with somthing positive...like I appreciate your input, or I would be interested to understand where you found this study....you know something like that. Most of us DO have thick skin and I for one have never been bothered by your "passion" to make sure we all understand that we can live with this annoying condition.
But seriously....we all love you. You just need to remember that the goal is to increase the traffic on this forum, so there may be a small percentage that also have an opinion as strong as yours. And that is okay. We don't want them to leave just like we don't want you to leave. You are intuitive enough to know when you need to "attack" in a smarter way. Enough said. xoxo
