I'm so glad the atenolol works for me. I only take 1/4 of a 25mg in the evening and I don't notice any side effects from it which is crazy because almost anything I take causes side effects for me.
If I don't take the pill, my heart will speed up and I get that shakey feeling you are describing. I can tell right away when I get up in the morning if I forgot to take it. I'm just glad it keeps the PSVT under control because THAT is really hard to live with. I don't ever plan to stop taking it!

Biggrin

I am now down to 1/4 of atenolol in pm.
Yes, Jodie, this may the "right" dose for me. I feel SO much better on a lower dose than 25mg daily. I can exercise without that SOB, heaviness in chest feeling, dizziness, ect.
I plan to stay at this dose for some time and then see if I can go off... if not I will make this dose work out for me.
Thanks for the input Jodie, you inspired me before and now again ( to try atenolol orginally and now to try lower doseage). Thanks everybody else for their help and advice... so sincerely appreciated.
Good luck, Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I'm glad that is working for you. My doctor told me that 1/4 of the pill is such a low dose that it could be considered holistic. In other words, if you have to stay on in long term, it shouldn't be a problem.
Happy Thanksgiving to you too!

I take 100mg of atenolol daily in divided doses and have no side effects that I can think of, its been a life saver for me in reducing PVCs and tachycardia, I guess some persons just have much higher tolerance to certain drugs than others.
