Christmas is OVER!! :)

Hello everyone!! Hope you all had a wonderful skip free holiday and are looking forward to the new year!!

Yesterday I started back up on the Verapimil which is what I was on before I had the ablation done. I was fluttering all over the place yesterday and had one of the worst anxiety attacks Ive ever had the night before. Verapimil didn't help yesterday or today as I'm still skipping but I am getting to the cardiologist on Friday.

I'm trying really hard to ignore my heart and the off beats but I have pulsitile tinnitus in my right ear so I hear my heart beat constantly. Its been that way for a couple years now. I'm a little afraid because my anxiety is getting worse although I'm learning how to manage the attacks a little better every time.

Anyways, I am just touching base and hope you all are doing amazing!! <3

~Amanda~

It sounds like a lot of us had a rather stressful "Skip" day. I know the more I worry about them, the more likely they are to come, and yesterday, I so desperately wanted to have none, I had some, I was so disappointed, I cried all day.

I am sorry your day was so awful, I hope you are better now. I hate those anxiety attacks..

Also ive found out if im waiting for one to come on it never does. It always waits for me to forget about it. Or when im having fun and fhen.BOOM its hits me and keeps me on edge till i throw down my awareness.

Yeah it deffinatly has a mind of its own. Its seems to be anywhere I go now Im feeling anxiety. I just tell myself you can conquer this. Go and have fun dont let this keep you down and it does go away a little bit. Its always there but Im learning to ignore it to the best of my ability.

There's a name for that? Pulsitile Tinnitus? WTF who knew?!

I can hear my pulse. I can see my pulse. (at the periphery of my vision, it's like the lenses of my eyes bend with the increased pressure of a pulse) I can feel it all over in my head.

I didn't have a skip free holiday, but meh, so what? I DID have an excellent holiday. I went running on Christmas day, and had a few short bursts of PAT while at the start of the run, but nothing worth worrying about.

That sucks that you had a rough one, but you're taking steps to get back on track - good on you. You'll get there, Amanda.
