coyld this be the reason why i am having pvcs?

Hi! long time lurker first time poster!

I hope you guys have got time for a story because i want to give you an insight as to why I might be having PVCs.

First a little info about me,i am 27 and I weigh in at about 192lbs. I have never smokeed a ciggarette in my life, have had a beer at social events(and even then its just one) and usually eat on the healthy side(though I have been known to stray to taco bell once in a while!)

So heres the story...Last year i was living with my dad and stepmom, had a girlfreind of three years, and just generally happy. Then in September of 2008 after some friction between my stepmom and I, I was pretty much given the boot.

So...fast forward to October of last year and after trying to work it out me and my girlfriend called it quits...which I am not even going to lie that was pretty tough on me and there were plenty of nights were sleep didnt come easy and nights when I would cry myself to sleep( I know I sound like a wimp, and I hate to cry,but I couldnt help it ya know?)

So after all of this somewhere about january this year i started having chest pains..had an EKG done and blood work..no problems.

So in a nutshell I have had 5 or 6 ekgs done...all clean everything normal...and have been to a cardioligist and have worn a 24 hr holter monitor....thought I had a few PVCs while I was wearing it...much to my surprise normal heartbeat the whole time!

So my question is do you guys think my PVCs(if thats what they are) are due to stress? Or are they due to something the docs havent picked up?

Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance

Chas

Hey Chas~
Welcome
Yes, Yes and Yes your PVC's are from stress.
Usually the PVC's are quiet during the actual stressful event...then weeks later they can start up.
That is why it is sometimes hard to believe that it is stress. Because they normally don't happen during the stressful event. Although they certainly can.
What did your doctor say? It sounds like you were given a clean bill of health. The less you worry about them, the faster they will disappear.
Take care
Jodie

The cardioligist who i saw about these syptoms listened to my heart and said he couldnt hear any thing abnormal that every thing sounded great!

Thats what was so funny about the holter monitor...even though I could feel the PVCs the holter monitor didnt pick them up! They said it was a normal rythm the whole time!

Sorry about the first post being so long...its just that these things scare the hell out of me!

Well yall take care...got to get back to work(sigh)

Yes, they can be so scary. But sounds like you checked out okay with the doctor so hopefully that will bring some piece of mind when you feel them. It does for me anyway. (unitl the get really bad, then off to the doctor I go again)
Have a good weekend and check back often.
Jodie
