Hahah!!! 'boob shake' you crack me up...I wonder if I AM having esophageal spasms. Its just so crazy..im going to read your snippit on the home page about that shortly!! thank you all VERY much for your input and ideas.

jsuter69---I think I can tell the difference SOMETIMES..like Jeff. The PAC's seem very mild compared to a PVC. to me, my PACs seem to be a slight flutter, as opposed to a 'thud'

I have read or heard that PAC's feel more like a soft "blip" and the PVC's feel more like a "thud". On my 24 hour holter monitor, it only recorded PAC's yet, they all felt different.

Jeff agrees: Hey Susie - I love the avatar. Very scenic, and you look great!

Hi folks I have been away a while and trying no exercise and exercise etc. I have posted about that on another thread. Casper I have also responds to you on the other thread. In a nutshell yes I have had those massive take your breath away thuds and have discussed at some length about them with Jeff on the exercise related thread. They only occur during intense exercise like running or eliptical trainer when pushing myself hard. I am unable to breath for a second or two and along with the thump I go lightheaded then the anxiety licks on to some order. Sometimes it has felt likey heart was overfilling with blood and not beating just blowing up like a balloon then bang the beat. Others just a great big thud like the mother of all beats and little flutters following. Since easing off on exercise and stopping running I have not had one that big. The last one scared me so much I ended up in the A+E (ER as you say in America). I was kept in overnight for OBs my bloods were fine it was as they say just an unusual thing on my ECG they never explained that but said it's common in athletes but had not got a base ECG of mine to compare it to. I was released again with no satisfactory explination other than I had not had a jeart attack. I am still at a loss Casper as they never showed up on my holter or stress test but that did not push me as far as I pushed myself running. Neil

That's the good news, Neil. It isn't possible for your heart to overfill. It just can't. There's finite space in the atria and ventricles, and when they're full, they're full. Plus, if you've seen the musculature in the cross section of a heart, you'll see there's no way that small amount of blood will overwhelm the massive amount of muscle tissue.

I'm thinking either esophageal spasm or possibly cardiac spasm, though that seems way less likely.

Casper if I hear or learn anything new I will post it here as soon as I possibly can. This is a great site and has helped me loads.
Jeff thanks as always for you reasurance! I do hope your well (looking good I have to say well done pm the weight loss). I'm still in two minds about the esophageal spasm I have to say that any form of bouncing exercise or running or skipping will set it off after a while and there always seems to be a has build up regardless of when I have eaten prior to exercise so it could be. I do have some Buscapan which is an intestinal relaxant for that very thing but have never tried it for fear of bringing on the symptoms again. I have never hear of a cardiac spasm I assume that that is the same as any muscular spasm or twitch just with worse feelings. Unfortunately I have never managed to catch it on a holter so I'm never going to know what it is.

Awhile ago I was looking into finding a really cheap ECG machine. Something that would be easy for a non-medical person to use yet be accurate, and would be somewhat disposable.

Haven't found one of those yet.
