event monitor question

Sorry in advance for the long post. Just need some advice. July and August had non-stop PVC's. Some were very scary and long runs of 20 in a row. Saw my cardiologist because I wanted an event monitor-he decides to send me to an electrophysiologist. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do, so I went to my GP for advice. He got me an event monitor and we decided to wait for the results and then decide on the electrophysiologist. He also told me to increase my Toprol from 12.5 to 25 which I did. Since then I have been virtually PVC free(about 3 weeks). I am just starting to get my life back and actually forget about these things. However, today is the day I picked up my 30 day monitor. I really do not want to go back into the black hole of PVC's, stress and anxiety. So, do I try to trigger these things so I can catch them? Do I go back to 12.5 Toprol and see if that changes anything. Drink caffeine and wine which I haven't in years?? Or do I do nothing and see what happens? Any advice out there?
Thanks, D

wow, tough one. I know for me, I do everything possible to not have any events while on the holter monitor because part of me doesn't want them to find anything really wrong. Now, Jeff on the other hand did everything he could to make trigger the skips. (sorry Jeff, I hope you don't mind me telling her that).
The best scenerio of course is to catch as many kinds of arrythmias as you can. I'm not to sure about reducing the meds. It that is what is working to help calm them. I guess you could drink some wine and eat come chocolate. That couldn't hurt.
Going back to that "bad" place is not worth it to me.

Lisa I still don't fully understand everything that you have, but I know you have been to hell and back. But I agree-no more burying my head in the sand- as much as I want to find nothing, I just need to know what is happening in my body.

I guess it's a good thing you broke your toes. Imagine if you didn't-that is the scary part. It looks like we all have to be our own doctors to some point.
I am learning more from this site, than I have in the last 4 years!
