Exercise stopped helping
Typically, I could hop on the treadmill and away I would go - then my PVC's would be at bay for a good 5 or 6 hours.
The last 2 days, however; exercise doesn't even help and I felt one while running and a couple on cool down which really freaked me out. I have also been battling the worst fatigue, dizzy spells and foggy head. The PVC's are so strong they are taking my breath away. I am going on 3 weeks now having 5 or 6 a minute. I am not sure how much more I can take it (or my heart can take it for that matter!) My holter test came in today but my doctor's appointment is not until tomorrow. I forced myself to not go pick the results up because I will just cause myself to go crazy. I just can't figure out why there was the sudden spike in intensity/frequency and subsequent side effects this time. I am trying to keep myself calm but there is a constant reminder every 15 beats or so (sometimes every 2nd beat). Done feeling sorry for myself now.....sort of. |

That is the pattern it seems. I bet after your appt. tomorrow that they will calm down. Reassurance is a great help. Make sure and tell him about the increase while working out because he can also reassure you about that. My cardio did. He said that it is within completely normal limits to have some PVCs during and after working out. I did have some on my stress/echo. It still said within completely normal limits. Occasional PVCs. Hang in there. I know it is tough when they just won't leave you alone. It sucks to feel every one. Let us know how your appt. went.

I had 4 PVCs during my treadmill tests and tons in cool down period. No one seemed concerned! I don't exercise however because I'm scared. Let us know how your holter went

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I went to the doctor on Friday. He was grumpy but that is besides the point. He said that I feel a a lot of my PVC's but he is not concerned. He wouldn't print the she off for me but I had almost 3000 PAC's and PVC's in a 22 hour period (I had to return it early because of work). In that time I also had 30 incidents of trigemy (not sure the spelling) and 22 od bigy (not even going to try and spell it). Then I had a 24 second run of tachycardia.
He insists it's normal. The cover sheet, which he gave me said this, "basic rhythm is sinus with normal heart rate variation with episodes of sinus tachycardia. Rare premature atrial and ventrical contractions." He referred me to a cardiologist but was really snotty about it. He said " consider this nothing more than a second opinion proving I'm right". Ok then, I will.
