Family fights

Do any of you get chest pain & PVCs when you've had an argument with a loved one? I do, every time. Sometimes I want to go the the ER but don't. I hate arguments & it really stresses me out, I think.

I always get more after arguing or during arguing. Just the body releasing adrenaline. I hope you and your loved one have made up. There is nothing worse than fighting. Jodie

Yes, I'm prone to go into arrhythmia if I'm arguing with someone. I get so worked up.

If I'm scared or frightened, it's a sure thing. A couple months ago my dog passed out in front of me. You know when people say "my heart stopped"? That's the only way to describe it. Worst PAC of my life. It felt like somebody kicked me square in the chest. She ended up being okay, but I wasn't for a while.

I try to relax and be a much more mellow person knowing this. Just about nothing is worth stressing myself out considering what happens.

i must be messed up in the head but arguing with my family actually releases some of my stress, i never used to argue, my family is that type that does not no when to shut up, im the only one that would walk away, if im being screamed at ill walk away or hang up on you, i guess its just years of holding it all in that makes me less stressed when i argue now.

Argument or family nastiness= a bout of PVCs and chest discomfort. That is virtually 100% guaranteed for me. Talk about one of the ultimate releases of adrenaline, and the fight or flight response???? You bet!

I had a particularly bad episode on Thursday night when my daughter was being really naughty and I had to yell at her. Yes, when I am stressed or upset it is def. worse!!

I am starting to re-read The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook by Dr. Bourne. I read it years ago and it helped a lot for my GAD and Panic disorder (prior to being diagnosed with heart issues). It has many helpful suggestions for lessening stress and anxxiety in one's life. I am hoping it helps again.
