How many of you have hundreds of pvcs a day

I am just wondering how many of you actually get hundreds and thousands of PVCs a day? And has your doc/cardiologist told you that this is ok.?

I do and my doctor (both cardiologists that I saw) told me it was completely within normal limits. I had the stress/echo to confirm that my heart was healthy and after that, they told me it wasn't even necessary to repeat the tests for another 5 years or so.
I have had holters on when I have had over 300 and when I have had 15. I also know that I have had days where I am close to the thousand mark. I am told over and over again the the amount doesn't matter unless my heart is diseased.

As far as I know, I hold the record for PVCs on this site.

In '03 I spent ten months or so where I had 5-10,000 every single day.

Now a really bad day might be even more than that, but they happen about once or twice a year.

And no heart meds.

Nope. Beat ya. Try a year with over 25,000 daily. I still have days where my predominant rhythm is bigeminy. During my awake periods, I would have that for 12-14 hours, and it would finally subside when I went to sleep (as far as I know). Had a holter with over 30,000 ectopic beats in one day. Verdict--totally normal. No heart meds, no ablations--all stress related.

Seriously David. Your holter showed 30,000 PVCs! You are truly an inspiration! If that doesn't put everyones mind to rest, nothing will!!!

Yupp......it said "30,000 PVC complexes, clinically insignificant, bigeminy sustained, trigeminy, etc." Nowadays, I have occasional days of multiple PVCs, as I have learned to ignore them. The dead giveaway that they were stress was when I was getting tests in the hospital, they went from bigeminy sustained for two hours to 4 skipped beats every 2 min, after an IV of Ativan. Does that not show what the true cause was? Ativan in that dose created a 99% DECREASE in PVCs.

wow, that is amazing! I am not sure mentally I could handle 30K a day without having a break down from fear.

Heh - amazing on the PVC count - I'm happy to crown you the PVC champion.

And interesting on the Ativan. Early on it drove me crazy that when I was being monitored by a doctor my heart wouldn't act up, like my body was conspiring to kill me. Then I realized that it was doing that because someone was there to care for me in case something really was wrong, and I must have relaxed/de-stressed. And then I felt relieved but also kinda silly.

See Jodie? (She never believed me when I'd tell her I had 5-10,000 a day. Told her next time I was having that many I'd figure out a way to record them for her.)

I still don't believe you Jeff. You never actually had that many recorded on a holter! So yes, you need to figure out a way to record them next time you are skipping like that.

MERCY!!!! 30 thousand a day, well, that does put my mind to rest, wow, I would be a total basket case.

I usually have, or thought I had, around 5 a day, but since I have worn this 7 day monitor, I have had none, I thought I felt one, but it wasn't. What the heck are the skips then.

LOL Jodie and Jeff, you guys are funny.
