Dani - my insurance covers or partially covers my visits. But not the yearly fee ($3,000) to be a part of the practice. It is soooo worth it. Her office is right in the hospital, I get valet parking, the waiting room is like a movie theater with food and drinks, and they schedule hourly visits and review EVERYTHING each visit. But really the best part is that she and her team of doctors don't have to take on a lot of patients so it isn't a numbers game per say. Yes, they make the extra money through the yearly fee, but they also work hard for that extra money. I can contact her assistant or my doctor anytime of the day or night. She responded to my email in 15 minutes. If I call her and need to see her, I can get in that same day. AND, she will come to the house. All the doctors in this practice are extremely talented and actually they take care of our Padre and Charger teams. So I feel very fortunate. I found her because my parents go to her. She actually saved my moms life. When mom started seeing her 2 years ago, she looked at her
echo from the previous doctors office and picked up her phone and called him right in front of my mother asking him why he didn't schedule a cath based on the
echo findings. He had no answer. Well she had it scheduled that next day and they found a hole in her heart and a blocked artery. Everything was repaired and my mom is like a new woman. Just one more reason why it is so important to trust your doctor!
