Magnesium has helped
Hey folks,
For about three weeks, I was popping off more PVCs than the the Fourth of July has fireworks. They were for long periods during the day, and caused another visit to the doctor. He, of course, found nothing, and advised me to take my meds and relax. Since it was in the midst of moving, it was a wee bit difficult to do so. In the meantime, I have taken Magnesium every day, and have had somewhat of a stress reduction. PVCs, while not disappearing completely, are greatly reduced to occasional, as opposed to thousands a day. So, I do not know which has worked more--stress reduction, or 250MG of Magnesium a day, but it certainly can't hurt! Just one man's observation. |

Concur strongly. Most natural remedies take a while to get absorbed into nerve tissue (actually read an article about this, that I shall try and find), so a month is a good time period. I did not notice any effect at all for three weeks, and on the fourth week, it had a noticeable effect. The more absorbable forms of magnesium work best, from what my doctor told me. |

I should realize that since I worked in a health food store and one of my doctors is a Naturopath. She always says to give things time as well. I get impatient and want relief yesterday. LOL.
She has recommended the liquid form of cal/mag, she said it will be easier for me to assimilate, so, I guess I will give it a good try this time. I have been on liquid fish oil for years, maybe that is my my carotid scan was so stellar. She also wants me to take Kava Kava twice a day. It is a relaxing herb, but has not drug side effects. LOL, they drink it out of coconuts in the south seas and it really relaxes them, that is why they are so happy there I guess. I have tried one a day, it made me nervous, but, I have to admit, I was scared to take it. It did seem to take the raw edges off a teeny weeny bit. So, I will give it a better try, I am desperate. LOL, I know, I will put on some south sea music, look at my pictures of when I lived in Florida, and take the Kava, maybe I will feel like the natives there, he he. It would be wonderful to feel relaxed and not so uptight. I will let you know about any results. Hugs to all Susie (on my way to the south sea islands.) |

Oh! I want to try the kava kava! Susie you can get magnesium by taking Epsom salt baths and they even make Epsom salts with lavender in it and it's really relaxing. I love it! You have to soak for at least 20 minutes though. I also make a really good smoothie that has calcium, magnesium, potassium and omega 3's: 1 cup ice, 1 cup vanilla almond milk ( I do unsweetened but sweetened is better but not as good for you), 2 very ripe bananas, 1 large spoonful EACH of almond butter and ground flaxseed. Yummy! Jkfrench - that dosage doesn't give you diaherrah ever? I can usually handle 250mg but sometimes that does it too. That's why I try to get it through foods. I heard the taurine doesn't cause diaherrah is that what kind your taking?
