i am starting to figure that out. the xanax has worked like a freaking miracle drug. i just hope the celexa kicks in soon so i wont have to keep taking both

My father carried Xanax for 30 years. He took it only when he needed to and never got addicted.

Aww Im so sorry to hear about this and hopefully the xanax will help take the edge off the anxiety. I hope the best for you. Try all the relaxing techniques you can. Hot shower or bath with some relaxing music. Watch a good tv program to keep your mind occupied. Always try to stay busy. This has helped me the past week. Keep occupied!! Big huggss my friend. Turn that frown upside down <--- lame, I know.

I was worried ab out getting addicted to Xanax too. My doctor told me that if I was worried about getting addicted then I wouldn't become addicted. Made sense to me. Take them as directed or take 1/2 the dose that was perscribed. That is what I did. I took it for one month and then just stopped. No problem at all.

good Im glad to hear this. Ive noticed that as well in the midst of an attack I get up and do something else it usually helps. Either walking around the house or even outside around the block. You will figure out what works for you and make sure you take note of works and what doesnt so when the time does come you know exactly what to do to keep your mind occupied
