Morning chest pain

Does anyone here wake up after a good nights sleep with mild chest pain & then build on that to a full blown panic attack with BP like 155/85? Then take an Ativan to calm down?

I had awful, constant left side chest pain for months (I still get it)... I was so sure it was my heart I was in a total panic all the time. Really sucked. I have to up my SSRI and take Xanax while I get the Zoloft time to work. I would give myself panic attacks and more palps how much I worried about it.

The pain was very real, very strong and still we dont know what it was. I had sooo many tests done but they seem to think it could have been a disc in my neck. But still! I think it is more psychosomatic but I guess I will never know.

So yes, I have been there, done that.

YUPPPP. Had everything you describe, and it was totally psychogenic. No physical issues at all. Not at all unusual--including pains. Your BP is barely over normal. I have had to take Xanax to terminate a panic attack.

Lisad- I've experienced the same thing. Very scary but I'm thinking it's anxiety or hormone related.
