ok well usually i will get that one HUGE thump in my chest but last night right when i was about to fall asleep i got this regular beat, then fast beat then short pause and regular beat like

beat.....beat.....beat..beat........beat.....beat.

made me jump. is that a PVC or PAC? driving me crazy that was the most clearly i have ever felt what ever this is, usually they just come on but i was kinda paying attention when it happend.

Oh man. I know that scared you. Mine are usually like that all the time. Normal with those crazy beats mixed in. I get flutters too. Anytime I'm getting anything unusual I try to either cough, or bear down like I'm pooping (I know gross but hey it's worth it if it works) of course that's if I'm not freaking out! My cardiologist said that PVCs & PACs are not of a concern in a structurally healthy heart unless ur having shortness of breath dizziness etc. And even when I complained of shortness of breath and dizziness they did the moniter and everything I showed PVCs and PACs turned out to be begnin. Hang in there. I know that's scary but we are all here as proof we can get through this and we all can support eachother through it.

im still trying to figure out how the doctor can tell if a PVC or PAC is benign just by looking at the EKG

I get short of breath a little, but that is because when I am feeling them, I hold my breath, I can breath afterwards. I also get hot pins and needles in my head which is due to the adrenalin rush.

I guess they can tell by the rest of the EKG, if the readings show any depressions or elevations. I really do not understand them, but that is what I have heard.

Unless there are many per minute they are always going to be considered benign unless there is underlying heart disease.

I agree with Mary. Unless something is wrong with your heart they are benign. They do not even think twice about them.

The problem is that everyone gets these weird beats, we are just so super sensative! Sucks! lol
