New here..

Hi- I found this forum while searching for answers about my PVCs- I haven't contacted a doctor about them yet but plan bringing them up at my appt. this Tuesday. They come and go- I will have them for several days and then none or very few for a while- no other symptoms- a little chest pain once in a while but I'm not sure if it's legitimate or just because the PVCs make me nervous.. I am fairly active and at a healthy weight, exercise regularly so they are really puzzling to me.

Hi Tracey and welcome.
I think that is the biggest problem with PVCs. You really never can fit the puzzle pieces together. You just have to learn to accept. I wish someone had been around to just tell me that when mine started up over 20 years ago. Stay away from googling too much. Definately visit this site often. Interacting with fellow PVC sufferers is the best treamtment once your heart checks out A OK. Take care - Jodie

I second what Jodi said, dr. Google will just freak you out for no reason at all. Get it checked out by the doctor and once your cleared come here for support since it can be frustrating to live with. Good luck and welcome

Welcome aboard! Tracey, I third what Jodie says--don't let them freak you out. Reading Google is a catastrophe, as all you get is negativity and lack of information. I stick with this site as people are responsible, and intelligent.

your story sounds so much like mine. Mine started a few days here and there until finally I decided to get them checked out. I was diagnosed with PVCs and since then I do not think I have gone a day without skips. I get them everyday but sometimes only 1 or 2 but mostly I get 20 + a day that I feel.

Hey, welcome Tracey. I think what you describe is what everybody has here to a greater or lesser degree. Without doing a cardio workup on you, my 99.9% guess would be benign PVCs, brought on by nerves. Definitely contact your doctor to confirm this, but that is what so many people here have.

Hello Tracy and welcome, I agree too with what Jodie says. Mine have a mind of their own, and I started wearing a 7 day monitor yesterday, and guess what, not even one, this is funny, I am wondering what I am having when I feel the skips.

I don't google any more, scared me too much, this is the only place I come now.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! Had my doctor's appt today- of course the PVCs stopped a couple of days ago.. but he did an EKG and everything looked good.. thinks they are benign brought on by stress or ?? He did offer to order a holding monitor(I think that's what it was called) if they start up again, as they usually last a few days. I am debating on this because I'm not sure if my insurance will cover it and I've heard it's expensive to do.. we'll see how things go. Went to zumba class last night with no issues(as usual) but when I had to chase my puppy around the yard tonight my chest started hurting a little, though it's fine now.

I had to wear a 30 day monitor Tracey because of mine being so few and far between. That is what caught the single beat PVCs.

I would think your insurance would cover it... but you can always check it out first to see.
