Hello all, I am brand new to this site and I have to say it's good to know I'm not alone! I have PVC's, sometimes frequent, sometimes not so much, with no apparent rhyme or reason. My husband and I just started our fitness routine back up in December. We do three days strength training and three cardio days each week and a pretty restrictive diet. We have done this program successfully in the past, but I didn't have the PVC's then. The other day after a grueling (for me) 20 minutes on the stationary bike, my HR stayed elevated for a good while. It was about 120, but seemed weak and I felt really tired and a little faint. Usually I just try to power through something like this, but I had to lie down. I felt better after 20 or so minutes. It has not happened since, but I am not working as hard on the bike since then. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

I have episodes of SVT which keeps my HR at 120 - 130 bpm for 30 mins or so. Then it will calm down. My electrophysiologist told me not to worry about it, that it was fine.
It could also be a bit of anxiety mixed in. You feel your pulse staying up, you get worried, your anxiety kicks in etc. I am not one to blame everything on anxiety... but I have found it contributes a lot! How long have you had PVCs |

@DaniRae I've had PVC's for about a year and a half. I was diagnosed with a mild mitral valve prolapse 13 years ago, and sometimes it acts up as well.
Whenever I started having frequent PVC's, they were very frequent and I am sure anxiety played a major role. However, in this instance, I started feeling bad and then realized my HR was elevated. I had been enjoying a period of reduced symptoms, but that is over and they are back with a vengeance. It is really disappointing because I thought exercise was supposed to help. How long have you been dealing with them? |

Christina, I really struggled at first too. The more I worried, the worse they were. My Mom died of a heart attack 2 years before mine started and I think that fueled my anxiety. My doc put me on a low dose beta blocker which helped immensely. After about a year, it seemed to stop working though.
Do you take anything for your PVC's? |

Mel - no I don't take anything for my PVCs. Dr said I could try BBs but that to wouldn't cure them so I thought why bother. I debate though about trying them. I need to start walking again but since I hate the PVCs so much I don't want to purposely bring them on! I hate my life though! Im tired of being lazy and tired and tired of it controlling my life. But the fears keeps winning

I started with my palps about a year and a half ago. Diagnosed a year ago for sure. I do have times of fatigue but not sure what it is. When my HR kicks up it brings my anxiety on.
So it sounds like you handle the PVCs well? |
