Now everyone has me nervous
So, lately when I'm getting palpitations they are what feels like runs of them between 2-5 in a row of skips then the normal rhythm picks up. So it's skip skip skip skip skip normal beat rhythm. Is this NOT ok? I don't have it often, but when I do it's terrifying. Last nIght I had a very wierd palpitation were it felt like I'd inhale and they'd come on. It was very quick shallow breathing that I took until I could take a deep breath. It only lasted two breaths. Could anyone who knows about either of these reassure me as I looked at VT and it terrified me because all I could see was most are begnin but... And it's that but that scares me.

You very well have had regular beats between and didn't realize it. And even if you were having 5 PVCs in a row, it's NOT VT. It would be Non Sustained VT, which still it NOT a huge concern. Me, when I had a 6 beat run, I didn't even know it, it was picked up on the monitor. For me it just felt like a normal but harder thump PVC. The doc said that only time to even "worry" about it is if I pass out from it or it last longer then 30 seconds.
I would not always trust what you think you feel, it's very hard to tell when its a skip, beat, skip etc. I never feel the skips in my neck or wrist pulses. I don't' even try. And when I sniffle or inhale sharply I almost always make myself have a PVC lol, it's all linked. |

PS I asked my electrophysiologist very specifically if I was at any greater risk of developing VT. He said NO. That my chances of getting it was very very very low (his exact words). Trust me, I have saved all his emails lol.

I sometimes get a few fast beats in a row when I inhale. That is why I don't like yoga. I wasn't clear on your explanation. Did you have a normal beat, skip, normal beat, skip etc...or fastbeat, fastbeat, fastbeat, then back to normal beats.
I have quick bursts of SVT which is the fastbeat, fastbeat, fastbeat in a row. That is not NSVT. Although Dani is correct. You really can't tell what it is by feeling your pulse. A holter would have to pick it up. BUT, it is probably just short bursts of SVT. That is more common, especially if you have PACs. |

I can actually feel the PVC in my neck pulse. So I feel the normal beat then the PVC faintly buy not always. Last night when I was having clusters of them it felt like beat beat beat pause beat pause best pause beat then would pick up the faster beat beat beat. I am feeling PVCs again all morning but I feel like my period is about to start any minute so I keep telling myself that why so atleast feel a teeny tiny bit better.
