Nutritionist/Pharmacist Info

First she said that she really thinks that my minerals are all whacked out. She said that the blood tests don't really even mean anything...symptoms do.

I got a mineral complex formula which she thinks will really help. If not, she will switch me to a Mag/Pot combo.

She said to stay on LOW calcium diet.

I told her that I eat about 4-6 cups of baby spinach a day. She said STOP!!! She said there is something in spinach that makes the body not absorb minerals and esp. magnesium.

I also ordered that Natural Calm (Amazon.com: Natural Vitality - Natural Calm Rasp-Lemon, 16 oz powder: Health & Personal Care) Hopefully this is the right one. I will take that as well and she said that is fine.

She is hoping I notice a difference in about a week.

We shall see...God, I hope so.

Thanks all

oh, I eat spinach all the time! That is the right Natural Calm. Make sure you boil a couple of ounces of water and add the tsp to it to let it disolve first. Then add the rest of the water. You can add as little or as much as you want. Doesn't taste bad or good. If you don't like the taste, they say to just boil 2 ounces add the powder, add another ounce of cold water and chug it down. Good luck!!!

I too have eye twitching and it's been BAD lately And in both eyes! But I get it from stress too so hard to say since I've been majorly stressing over the PVCs! I tried mag for about a month and didn't see any decrease in PVCs but just started again to try again

Found this online:

But if you eat like a typical American—many processed and refined foods, convenience foods, and junk foods—then you’re probably seriously magnesium deficient. Just the process of refining foods strips nutrients, including magnesium. Some examples:

Dry roasting nuts removes the highly nutritious oils which contain magnesium.
Milling flour from grains strips magnesium from the grain.
Sugar in anything uses up magnesium.
Fluoridated, softened, and distilled water depletes magnesium.
Carbonated beverages and some processed foods, like lunch meat, contain phosphates that bind to magnesium molecules and flush it out of the body.
Alcohol blocks magnesium, especially if you have three or more drinks a day.
Coffee works like a diuretic to flush magnesium from of the body.
Some foods—like raw or roasted nuts and seeds, soybeans, spinach, and chard—contain compounds called phytic acid and oxalic acid which can cause magnesium to be eliminated from the body.

and... Foods high in oxalates - Oxalic Acid Research

Interesting I thought...

I am quite sure that eating it here and there is just fine and dandy. But I seriously eat like 6 cups 5-6 days a week!! LOL.
