lol - women? You are now allowed to resume your regularly scheduled ovulation.

Now there's some words I never thought I'd say.

Oh, and Lisa - to answer your question about menopause - I didn't address that directly. But are you asking about hormone replacement or hormone suppression?

I had my cycle last week, and I had the heart flutters the entire time this time, usually, they stop once I start. Then again, I am in the early stages of menopause, so, this might contribute to them as well.

I have this book by Dr Lee called "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You about Menopause" and he said that a lot of heart issues could be resolved with using "bio-identical" progesterone cream.I am trying it again and hope to have some favorable results.

Jeff; I can't remember what I was thinking then my brain just doesn't function half the time and the other half it's lost.

I think I was asking what happens during menopause and if you're not at that stage what happens during HRT?

This was the article that brought me to the site. It made total sense since I get palps mid-cycle around ovulation time and then again a few days before my period.

I keep track of both my periods and my palps on my ipod touch with a free menstrual calendar app.

I don't need a calendar to tell me when I am near, the heart does that for me, and lately, it has been working overtime on that subject. YUCK.

and to think I always thought I wouldn't have anything menopause related happen to me until at least my 50's... I'm only 38 now.

I can't remember where, but I was reading that sometimes it helps to eat a handful of edamame daily. Has anyone had any good results from eating them?

I haven't noticed a difference eating edamane. I eat it a lot. But, what works for one, might not work for another. Give it a try. It sure can't hurt.
