palpy Christmas

Hi all:
Hope you all are having a Merry Christmas! Mine has been pretty good. Except for some kind of weird heart feeling. I have been having this feeling the last two nights and can hardly sleep with it. It feels as if my heart is not beating right but when I take my pulse it seems normal with the occasional normal skip...It just makes me feel weak and it feels as if my heart beat is weak also. I keep waking up while trying to sleep with the feeling too. Its scaring me. OOOhhh...my heart always seems to act up when there is anything fun going on....Anyone have any idea what this could be....trying to decide if this is some of the same stuff or if this is something new. Scared to go to sleep because not sure I will wake up...although I am waking up every few minutes checking my pulse and feeling weird.

Susie agrees: I have been having some "light skips" today too, and I was in such hopes I wouldn't, but, I guess the worry that I would caused them. I think being afraid of having them during fun times, makes them appear.I hate this, I cried all day.

Merry Christmas to you too! Sounds like something I do to myself. My mind tells me my heart is doing something weird (other than PVCs) but when I feel my pulse it is beating normaly. There are times I am running and I swear I am in afib. I have no idea why I think that. Crazy... Sometimes as I am falling asleep, I gasp for breath and my heart feels kind of weak. I think that is just your body adjusting to sleep mode. Probably nothing else going on. I had several hours of PVCs today too. They seem to be gone now and I am sitting here eating fudge so I hope they don't come back...lol Always seems to happen on holidays.
I hope you get some sleep tonight.

That is the name of the game--we all get better by working together, and helping each other. The more we take our minds off of our own chests, the better we feel. So, Happy New Year back at ya!!!

I am better today, thank the Lord. I think when it is holidays or we are "supposed" to be happy, our adrenalin kicks in because we are so afraid we won't be, so there you go. A vicious circle.

Yes, the support here is 5 star for sure.

Pooh,

I can attest that I too experience a party-pooping heart every time I try to have a little fun. It is absolutely enraging!

My heart can be acting so normal that I forget it's there...that is until I decide to horse around with my cousin, get a little excited about something I see on TV, sing too loud to the radio.

I have a little dog named Duchess. She's a miniature pinscher. Whenever anyone in the house decides to have a little fun, get a little loud, move a little too quick, she's on them like the secret service. We nicknamed her FP for "Fun Police." I've often wanted to have a little cloak made for her with FP embroidered kind of like Superman.

Well, she might be the FP of all household entertainment, but my heart is the PP (party pooper) of all my personal entertainment. Makes me not want to do anything at times, sometimes.

I have that too, where I swear my heart is fluttering, or in my throat but when I feel my pulse, I feel nothing abnormal. Very annoying and makes you think, maybe it's gas or maybe it is just something muscle related. Either way it pisses me off lol
