Periods and Skips...Questions

Regarding Skipping Hearts - Arrhythmia Articles Skipping Hearts Article Archive Palpitations and Your Period

Questions I am pondering...so, if we were to somehow lower our progesterone...could we possible suffer less??

My skips are 99% during that time (about 10 days prior to period and sometimes a few days into my period). It seems to me that it HAS to be mostly hormonal. And if so, shouldnt there be something we could do about it?

I bet they would. I have had friends that are going through menopause and when they get estrogen they feel great. As soon as progesterone is introduced they call me (because they know I have some knowledge about hearts) and tell me their heart is racing and they feel horrible. After starting progesterone. Interesting....

So, maybe estrogen would HELP palps?? Of course then there are other risks with that...I will have to ask my Gyno...tho I wish he were a woman because sometimes I feel they just understand better.

I am curious as to if my issues are premenopausal related. I'm only 38 almost 39 but my periods have gotten shorter and today (day 11) I spotted which is weird and never has happened before (maybe once?) my drs say I'm too young but I think my mom was through menopause before 50. For instance this morning. I was palping like crazy! Trigenemy and every 5-6 beats and then I spotted and then they went away. I was feeling anxious, tired and lightheaded this morning too. All hormone related? Hard for me to tell since I have been extremely stressed over these things as well as I am someone who thyroid plays a factor. So hard to know what's up?!! Plus my throat still intended and thyroid scan came out ok so why? So frustrating!

Another weird thing...when I was pregnant, I had like no skips at all. Yes, I was on a beta blocker, but I was before and after too and still got the skips. For some reason, when I was pregnant I felt perfect. No palps, no anxiety.

Now, as soon as I gave birth - wowzers. It was awful and the panic especially was off the hook. And as I get older (had her 7 years ago) they are gradually getting worse around period time.

I just thought it was interesting that so many get worse during pregnancy and I got so much better.

Cheers me too, while pregnant no skips. I think it's because there isn't any ovulation. I'm hoping mine disappear after menopause- but I have awhile to go I'm 26

Definitely a hormone thing. You women have it. I guess we have the male equivalent with Testosterone???? I honestly dunno.

I am in peri menopause, have skipped 2 cycles again. I noticed when I was close though, I would have the skips more.

I tried natural hormones, that darn progesterone made the skips worse, but the estrogen helped. But, my naturopath said not to use the natural estrogen without the natural progesterone, ugh, so, I do not use either, I hate the palps from the progesterone. (all creams are bio identical by the way) I sure felt better with the bio identical estrogen however.
