okay so I am 34 wks pregnant and lets just say FREAKING out alot lately about my heart skips because they feel soooo different.. the other day I was sitting on the couch and starting getting this bubble feeling coming up my throat and when I stood up my heart felt like it was irregular and a little bit.. I'm just soo scared of my heart going into Vtach or Vfib.. I have an appt with an electrophysiologist on Thursday because my cardio keeps putting everything off to pregnancy and it can be.. but why is starting to feel so different? Will my heart give out during pregnancy? Will I get that post partum cardiomopathy.. please help me with some words of wisdom!!!!!!!!! I HATE GOOGLE BTW!

First of all, DON'T worry. From what I have read, this is common during pregnancy. I am sure one of the women can fill you in on all those details, but hormonal surges DEFINITELY trigger PVCs, and PACs, and that is typical and nothing of concern. Call your doctor to confirm this, and definitely talk to the electrophysiologist, but unless you have cardio abnormalities, this is not at all unusual. DO NOT google other websites, as all you will get is scared. The people here are extremely supportive. MOST LIKELY, it is a hormonal issue triggering adrenaline surges due to pregnancy, but check with your MD just for peace of mind.

I can't help you with knowing if it's Pregnancy related since I didn't have them when I was pg but I know now that my Monthly cycle Plays a huge role in them. I also know that sometimes they feel one way and other times they feel completely different. I do get the throat feeling with mine. I'm sorry you are scared. Trust me I can totally relate as I am on my own battle with fear. Good luck to you and try not to google. Hang in there!!! Hugs to you!

It's probably PACs or PVCs and the bubbly feeling in your throat could be acid reflux. Acid reflux irritates the heart. This is common in pregnancy with the hormonal changes and the extra pressure from the baby. None of this leads to v tach or fib. Call your doctor if you are worried but I am sure when yu see the electrophysiologist he will reassure you. Let us know how you are doing. I am sure you will have a healthy baby and be healthy yourself.

You are fine girly! You are just fine and your anxiety and hormones are teasing you is all... I totally feel your pain.

We are no more likely to get Vtach or Vfib then the average bear xox

Dani is exactly right on the money! It is a myth that people who have PVCs are more prone to Vfib than the average person off the street (who may also have PVCs, as most of the population has them at some time). Holters and Echos rule out the possibility of a tendency toward such serious arrhythmias very obviously, and that simply isn't the issue with a healthy structural heart. The biggest issue for 99% of the people with PVCs is the extreme nuisance factor.
