I'm getting corn-fused. Information overload I guess.
![]() Am I understanding correctly that atrial fibrillations tend to progress and one is better off starting an antiarrhythmic med ASAP??? ![]() That the A Fibs progress from paroxysmal to persistent AF as the sources multiply and localize anywhere in the atria?? ![]() That A Fib is an arrhythmia but not all arrhythmias are A Fibs??

wow, even your posts is confusing so you must be confused.
I will answer these according to how my moms doctors are managing her afib #1. Yes, and it is better to be on a blood thinner and antiarrhythmic as soon as you are diagnosed. You can go in and out of A-fib but it does tend to progress eventually. #2. Yes #3. Yes see you are really not confused... Take care Jodie |

Giggle. Thanks, JK. What are your thoughts on ablation? I'm not a fan of "procedures" that can't be "undone". But neither am I thrilled reading about some of these anti-arrhythmic meds either.
Why can't they just come up w/something like a good frozen margarita to cure these darn things??? *sigh* |

Life Is Never Boring!!
My neighbor is "into" the Long Island Iced Teas, Lisa. And I'm w/you on the relaxed smile on my face when bucket time comes!!!! Life is for LIVING, right?
Spent the afternoon in ER - that's 8 events in 7 months. I agreed to try Cardizem - well, actually, Diltiazem 120 mg CR capsule, daily to see if that does the trick. They gave me the first dose about 6PM so, of course, I really slept well last night. Yeah, uh huh. 1:45 AM to 5:30 AM. Ah well, supposed to take it about 2 PM today, and about noon tomorrow and then about 10 AM Friday and then on waking each morning thereafter. Ain't life grand? Its so interesting and challenging. Always something new to learn.
