PVCs and Sausage?
Hello,
At the age of 34 I started being concerned with PVCs, that I had ignored all my life. I am currently 36, a chemical engineer, and have amused myself with PVCs. If you want my health history, I posted it in my journal. I do have an electrical issue with my heart, but it is not that severe. About six weeks ago, I discovered that sausage / hot dogs cause me to have frequent PVCs. I tested this out three times. A week without sausage, no PVCs, eat sausage for breakfast, that day I'll have frequent PVCs. Go a week no sausage, no PVCs. BTW, I have eaten sausage everyday for breakfast, and have had PVCs most of my life. I am puzzled by this, and no this is not the only thing. What is in sausage that does this? I feel weird posting this, but maybe this will help someone who suffers with PVCs. |

Sausages and hot dogs are highly processed foods and contain a lot of preservatives. Not good for health in general and very possible that you are allergic to something in them and it is manfesting in PVCs.

I would agree that sausage might well have such an effect. If one is on MAO inhibitors, that is one of the foods to avoid, due to severe interactions. So, it is indeed, possible that it has a cause an effect with heart arrhythmia.
