Question!

I dont know if anyone can answer this.. but the past two holters I have worn have only showed PACs.. can it be possible to just have PACs or do PACs and PVCs go hand in hand? I just got to thinking about that today!!! Do PACs lead to PVCs? I get my 30 day monitor tomorrow and it kinda terrifies me!! Yikes! Thanks guys!

PACs do not mean PVCs. But your 30 day monitor will be the best to determine if you are having both or only the PACs. The 30 day monitor is the only one that caught my PVCs because I didn't get them frequently enough to show on the 24 hour ones.

PACs and PVCs are similar, except for the part of the heart that causes the extra beat. PACs are the auricles (or atria) that has an extra beat, and PVCs are the ventricles that have the extra beat. Don't worry about the 30 day--it is a piece of cake, and even more accurate than the 24 hour one.

Ain't happenin' You have what most of us have, and that is acute PVC scare. You're scared silly over heartbeats, and we have all had that. Try to refocus, and not think about your heart. If there was any issue, they would have hospitalized you a long time ago. You are going through the "PVC panic," and it is extremely common.

lol not sick at all, I can totally relate. But you know what I have though of before? That is the WORSE case scenario. I mean the worse case is they would have to put those devices in, and many many many people live with them. it's not like we have some terminal illness ya know?

I know that is your thinking and I can relate. But I guess you just have to remember that there are NO guarantees. But you are at no greater risk then anyone else, developing VT or Vfib. But no one has a guarantee. No one..... I wish we did
