Quick Reference

I just posted the first of what will be several quick reference articles. This one is a compilation of what "normal" or "reference range" scores are on most all of the heart-related tests one can have run to diagnose a disease or arrhythmia.

The article can be found here: Skipping Hearts - Arrhythmia Articles Skipping Hearts Article Archive Cardiac Quick Reference - Normal Heart Test Values

If you find a test missing that you think should be included, please reply to this thread indicating what the test is and what it's testing for.

If you dispute the normal ranges for the various tests, check the references used to determine that range first, and if still in dispute, please indicate that in a reply to this thread.

I hope you find this reference to be useful to you.

Thanks. I've still got to tweak the layout because the "quick" part of the quick reference is hard on my eyes. So it's in a bit of a state of flux right now.

That is a terrific wealth of info, I recognize many of them due to the fact that my mother had severe chf and had all those tests especially the BNP, poor dear, hers was over 200 near her death. I have had most of these tests too and I keep all my results.

Thank you for going to all this work for us, it is greatly appreciated.

Oh, by the way, you are one of the few that know what pulse pressure means, I have studied it a lot, but when I mention it to others, they get this blank look.

Thanks again.
Susie

Jeff agrees: Thanks Susie. I look forward to your schooling as I know you'll be able to add so much knowledge to the site.
