Really scared AGAIN

Was lying in bed tonight and had what felt like 4 pounding beats in a row almost like 4 PVCs??? Anyone get this? It made me nervous and afraid. Is that ventricular fibrillation? I'm so scared right now. It didn't feel like pound, regular beat then pound like my normal PVCs but 4 in a row.

I had that not too long ago. Felt like 4 PVC in a row. Not sure what it was or why but none like that since. Sorry you are scared. I feel your pain! Hang in there!

Thanks for the quick reply it's nice to know someone out there had the same thing and is ok now. I called the cardiologist and he said it's ok. It may not be ok in a diseased heart but since mine is healthy not to worry. He also said unless my heart beats super fast for over 15 minutes then don't worry about going to the ER. I've read that other posters doctors have said PVC couplets aren't good, but mine doesn't seem worried with my heart. I'm still in a bit of an anxious state right now though. Love to all and prayers for good health . Kate

Don't read the other message boards. Trust your cardiologist-- people are so loaded with misinformation that you will only make yourself crazy. Most ectopic beats are harmless, especially in a healthy heart. The frequency of skipped beats means nothing, if you have had the necessary cardio work up, and have been deemed to have a healthy heart, structurally. Some people have bigeminy and trigeminy all the time .

Thanks so much! I really appreciate it, I get scared after the episodes! I actually was allergy tested for foods and found out my palpitations are horrible if I eat the food that's offensive, but I didn't do that today so they caught me off guard.

I read the bigeminy and tigeminy thing but didn't feel pauses in mine, I felt like mine was pound, pound, pound, pound, then normal beat rhythm. I think your older post said you felt the same thing. I'm just trying to relax at this point so I don't get the adrenaline rushing and spark more palpitations.

you never no, my friend who had alot of the digestive symptoms and chest pains ive been having same with palps might be caused by celiac disease, so far ive been on a gluten free diet for 2 days and i think im starting to feel alittle better, no chest pain, and ive been having the chest pain alot these last 4 weeks, also been having jaw and left arm pain for over 2 months, so im still trying to figure out what thats about. hope you feel better.

Thanks, again for all the quick replies, it really makes me feel like I'm not alone in all this. My food allergies caused a signifigant drop in my palpitations once I learned of them and stayed away from the food. My allergist said all the inflammation was causing chest pain, belly pain etc. I also learned I have higher inflammation because my vitamin D serum levels are really low too. So I'm trying to reduce my inflammation to feel better all over. Some people believe that imflammation causes palpitations period.

Yes, I had that tonight because I ate too much and when I am too full it happens. I know that mine is a short quick run of supra ventricular beats. Nothing serious. Trust your doctor. You are okay.

I had something similar tonight, only I think they were PAC's. I felt a beat, half beat, pause, beat, half beat, pause, then, I could not feel anything really, then my heart started to beat faster for about 20 beats, then a pause, then back to normal. They are sooo scary. The two events that the monitor did pick up said "Atrial Runs" I guess that means PSVT.

My doc says my heart is fine, and I am trying to believe it, but, when you have those feelings, you loose all sense of correct thinking, especially if you do not think they showed up on the 24 hour monitor.

I get mine when my tummy feels gassy, or, I drink water, sometimes when I eat a large meal, they act up as well.
