It is a very vicious cycle. VERY vicious. Vfib would come with side effects, dizziness, passing out etc. because the heart does not pump enough to sustain life, so you would without a doubt know if it was Vfib. I get what feels like fireworks in my chest sometimes, like boom boom, flip flop, boom boom, sparkle LOL! I have no idea what its all about but have decided that I will worry about it when I have too lol

I get it too....and when I was pregnant, I did get the fast rate for a few minutes. It is PSVT and is not dangerous. PACs/PVCs can turn into PSVT when the heart is resetting, the electrical impulse just takes a different route. You can tell because the beats start and stop abruptly. Kinda like a skip, then beat beat beat, then normal beat. I tend to get them at night in bed when I change position.

I feel your anxiety everyone! When my arrhythmias first started up, I was sitting at my kitchen table and my heart jumped to 120 beats per minute. It kept this up until 30 minutes later, when I was so scared I finally went to the ER. I was having shortness of breath too. My heart finally went back into normal rhythm and everything was fine. The docs told me not to worry and sent me home......That was over 13 years ago and I am still here and I am still very happy to be alive even if I occassionally feel the weird rhythms and have to take medications every day. My advice is to keep a positive attitude and live your life the best way you can.
