Definitely not V Fib. Most likely SVT.

I'm feeling better this morning but I have the shakes from being so nervous and didn't sleep very well. This is such a vicious cycle.

It is a very vicious cycle. VERY vicious. Vfib would come with side effects, dizziness, passing out etc. because the heart does not pump enough to sustain life, so you would without a doubt know if it was Vfib. I get what feels like fireworks in my chest sometimes, like boom boom, flip flop, boom boom, sparkle LOL! I have no idea what its all about but have decided that I will worry about it when I have too lol

Thanks everyone! Yes I got myself into a whirlwind last night and feel anxious this morning. But now I'm just in the process of trying to calm myself down. It could be worse, you all have all gone through this or something like this. I am just going to take it as a signal that my body needs some TLC. Yoga, more rest, more fluids and more nutrition and more laughter. And ALOT less stress. I'm going to be optimistic instead of feeling like I'm dying. My husband told me to play the game instead of forfeiting. So that's my mantra and I'm going to condition myself so I can play it the best I can. Play the game.

I get it too....and when I was pregnant, I did get the fast rate for a few minutes. It is PSVT and is not dangerous. PACs/PVCs can turn into PSVT when the heart is resetting, the electrical impulse just takes a different route. You can tell because the beats start and stop abruptly. Kinda like a skip, then beat beat beat, then normal beat. I tend to get them at night in bed when I change position.

Susie agrees: I am trying to calm down from massive anxiety myself, last night was not good, and I am still very very nervous. It does help to know that others experience the same thing. Hugs to you.

I feel your anxiety everyone! When my arrhythmias first started up, I was sitting at my kitchen table and my heart jumped to 120 beats per minute. It kept this up until 30 minutes later, when I was so scared I finally went to the ER. I was having shortness of breath too. My heart finally went back into normal rhythm and everything was fine. The docs told me not to worry and sent me home......That was over 13 years ago and I am still here and I am still very happy to be alive even if I occassionally feel the weird rhythms and have to take medications every day. My advice is to keep a positive attitude and live your life the best way you can.
