Recent ablation.. how long before I start working out again?

Since I seen the "Skippers Getting Skinny" group (great idea btw) thought some of the "before" pics were a joke though. I was wondering if anyone knew how long after an ablation procedure is it okay to start working out? I recently got a membership to a gym and had been working out for a month prier to the ablation. I am having lots of anxiety even thinking about going to the gym with all these skips and thuds and whatever else my heart has been doing since the ablation.

Thanks, Amanda

I almost thing that's going to be a case-by-case basis, depending on what was done and how that person is progressing. What limitations did the doctors give you?

The only limitations given were 3-5 day bed rest. Its been over a week since the ablation. I forgot to even ask about working out with everything that was going on at the time. I could call the office and ask one of the nurses I'm sure. Was just wondering if anyone has any personal experiences with the ablation and how long before they started doing anything very cardio.

Thank you Jeff

I would call ur nurse to be on the safe side. I'm sure you must be nervous about working out but it'll definitely help with the anxiety. I was watching sister wives and one of the wives said that she cut half her antidepressant and anxiety meds in half since she started working out. I was super anxious about working out after my ER visit but I've started yoga and pilates and I hardly even think about my heart because I'm concentrating on staying in position. My treadmill test was the first time I ran and the last time since my issues but I know I'll get back into it when I'm not such a scaredy cat.
