Saw my Cardiologist today..

And.....

Everything is normal. My heart looks and sounds great. The skips and flutters are absolutely nornal. He said Im going to have them but eventually my body will get used to them and hopefully they will become less noticable. He also said that they are absolutely harmless. I told hin all of my concerns and he told me that my heart just isnt going to stop. It might skip and flutter but it will kick back into regular gear when that happens. So for the new year one of my resolutions is to just stop and smell the roses. Stop worrying about the what ifs with this heart stuff and stop obsessing over every little thing I feel.

So although this news doesnt make it any less uncomfortable when the skips do happen it gives me some relief to know that what I am going through is normal and unharmful. Phewwwwwww!!

So bring on the new year. Lets see if we can survive the infamous 2012

~Amanda~

Yup, they are totally normal. Read my story on someone who had a really serious condition, What a difference in terms of symptoms!!!!

Reassurance is the best medicine. When I start dwelling too much on the skips, I know that in order to get past it and move on that I need to call my doctor and hear those words. Was your doctor able to hear the skips and flutters when you were there?
Awesome news and awesome attitude! So happy for you! Happy New Year!

Susie agrees: Everyone is lucky to have these kind of reassuring doctors, what I would not give to have that kind, I envy you folks. Reassurance is EVERYTHING for sure.

Amanda you just instantaneously made me feel better today. I've been getting very little sleep since my baby has had a fever for 3 days so the skips, dizziness, chest tightness etc are like a plague today. Ahh deep breath and try to release all this worry! thanks!
