Scared
Since being diagnosed with PVCs in mid October, my PVCs have gotten worse in number and intensity. I am finally going to see my cardio for follow up tomorrow. This week has been very scary for me. I could go hours without feeling a PVC and now they come in three deep glulbs. I drove about 2 hours yesterday and felt at least 15 in a 30 minute period. I panicked.
I don't feel like the propranolol is working and I am so angry, scared and frustrated. Why does this have to happen to me???? I restarted my xanax and am just backsliding. I see that a lot of you don't even take drugs to get through the day. What scares me the deep glubby feeling in my chest or stomach or epigastric area. Help. |

Beta blockers only work for a few people. Worry not, as your ectopic beats are overwhelmingly likely to be benign. 99% of them are nothing, and the more you worry, the worse they get. However, they are not a serious medical condition.

I take Zoloft as well, 75 mgs. It does help but the first few weeks can be tough. While your body adjusts it can actually make your panic and anxiety worse. But after you get through the 2-4 weeks, it turns over a new leaf. You will feel more normal then not normal. It really does help. It can also help with the Obsessive Compulsive part of hypochondria. We constantly think of our heart, the beat etc... It can help to control those urges. But all meds are different. I have a friend who takes paxil with no problems. I have been on Zoloft for 13 years with no probs.
