Just a quick update, still getting wonky beats as I call them, but my specialist has taken me off beta blockers and now all I get is the wonky beats not the wobbly legs or the real jittery feelings. I try to breathe deeply and calm down. They are worse if I am tired or after a meal. I did stop the caffeine and coming off that was horrendous I wanted to die!!!. I went cold turkey instead of reducing so it's my fault but I stick to decaf now. I feel that the associated symptoms I had were due to the beta blockers. It had got that bad I could no look forward to anything or dare to plan anything. Now we are planning a trip to the F1 grand prix in Monaco next May so I must be feeling better. Thanks for all the advice and help.

Wow, quite the jet-setter!
I've been to the Detroit Grand Prix a couple times thanks to my father's employer at the time, but I have the feeling downtown Detroit and Monaco are two pretty different places. I wish I could track down the article where I read this, but I read somewhere that caffeine stays in your body a lot longer than you might think - so cutting out the caffeine at first might not seem like it's working, but you have to give it time. Anyway, glad you're feeling better. Have you been to that race before? |

We have never been to Monaco before but we have been to the Spanish GP twice and to Monza and in 2000 we went to the American GP at Indianapolis at the end of a holiday to the States. We are quite keen on formula 1.
