Here's something a cardio told me...get up and walk. Count 1,2,1,2,1,2 as you take each step and dont let you mind wander just count. Apparently, its proven clinically to lower BP and calm you because its repetative and mind numbing.

Walking helped me to not go crazy when I was having tons of PVCs.

I am so sorry CM, I know the feeling. Somedays it feels like you want to scream, have a tantrum and such, I have been there and still am, but trying to fight the nerve part.

I must start walking, but, I am so afraid to, I am afraid I will have an extra bad attack, now, if I have someone to go with me, I am better.

Remember, we are all here for you, you CAN do it, we both can.

God bless and hugs
Susie

Anyone ever get the feeling that if you don't purposely breathe, you'll stop breathing?

Comments on this post
Susie agrees: Constantly, and it scares me, sometimes I breath so deep that is hurts my ribs even, it is horrible, I find the more I try the worse it gets, also when I am in high anxiety, it is no fun.

Wow erbssr I used to get that sensation constantly. Like I had to breath or I wouldn't. As if it wasn't auto for my body. I've never told anyone that because it has always been such a weird sensation. I only get it occasionally now.
