Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am not a physician and I do have very little medical knowledge. I do not pretend to be a doctor, nor do I want to scare people into believing that they are seriously ill. I did not find anything scary in my last post. I explicitly stated that frequent
PVCs/
PACs in a structurally normal heart are considered a benign condition and there are numerous medical studies which prove that point.
Vast majority of people have some ectopic activity on a daily basis. However, only a small percentage of folks get a lot of
PVCs/day. Even fewer are symptomatic. However, there is very little medical information on what might cause frequent ectopics in healthy individuals. Conventional cardiological testing has little to offer in terms of explaining the cause of frequent atrial and ventricular ectopic beats. Furthermore, there is very little information in the medical literature on this phenomenon. Most doctors simply tell their patients that they don't know why they have frequent
PVCs or why they can feel them.
What I am trying to share with you is the potential explanations for why some individuals might be prone to frequent and symptomatic ectopics and how it might be correlate to anxiety/panic disorders. That is the main purpose of my posts.
I am interested in learning about the etiology of idiopathic frequent ventricular and atrial beats.
So, far I came across very few articles describing the causes of this arrhythmia. The congenital disorder of the autonomic regulation of the heart offers one potential explanation for frequent ectopics. It does not mean that all people who suffer from frequent
PVCs/
PACs have this dysfunction, but it might be an underlying etiology in a subset of sufferers. This theory is not universal, but it does provide some answers to the question, which I am sure bothers us all -
WHY DO WE HAVE THESE THINGS AND WHAT CAN BE DONE TO CURE THEM?
If anyone is interested in learning more about the role of autonomic regulation of the heart and its links to frequent
PVCs/
PACs, I can provide them with links to medical studies. However, if the majority of people here are not interested in this information, I will stop posting it here.
I wish everyone best of luck and good health!
