Some great books on CBT.

Amazon has a great selection of Cognitive Behavior Therapy books, including some that are really good for self-help, as well as understanding the process. CBT works very well for folks like us with anxiety driven somatic issues, and helps break the "cat chasing its tail" syndrome:

This is not a commercial for Amazon, but a good list of basic CBT titles. I have used #s 1, 2, 3 and 6 often, and find them valuable.

Katie will become famous soon enough
Thanks David. Don't worry I'm sure I've sounded like a spokesperson for my many supplements too! But I really appreciate when people reference things that have worked for them.

Nothing wrong with supplements. Holistic medicine, when taken along with traditional cures and treatments work well. My commentary on the issue was when one person was categorically calling all medication "Poison." Clearly, alternative medical treatments work for many folks, and I have benefitted from a lot of them, as have others.

About the only things that work for me are "Alternative medicines" and even then, my body sometimes rejects those. UGH.

I wish that more docs and naturopaths could work together, I think if they did, drugs/vitamins etc would really work well, there are a few in Seattle that do just that, and wow, it is a great combination. Seattle is the capital of natural medicine, they have the John Bastyr College there, it is for naturopaths and boy, it is awesome, the best naturopaths usually graduate from there, my doc teaches there. It is a 4 year or longer college

Anyway, I don't think any one thing is good or bad, it is how you use them and such. I say whatever works for that person, go for it with gusto. :-)
