I had another echo but with a bubble study added. The PA called me today and told me that the cardio needs to s/w another cardio because he saw something "changed structurally." She wouldn't explain much more and the cardio is away for another week. I am so scared...what could "structurally" change??

I guess with the bubble study he saw something that he hadnt seen before. Not sure what though. Not sure why the PA would call me to tell me that he saw something, but he won't call me for another week!

THen how does he know something changed. He has nothing to compare the bubble study to right?

How is everything else going? Has your heart settled down a little so that you can sleep?

Hey, you should be feeling some relief! It sounds like if the doctor did see something, you're that much closer to getting this problem resolved.

The problem with doctors sometimes is they think that by withholding information about what might or might not be wrong with you, they think they are sparing you the agony of thinking about it. Heh. They couldn't be more wrong.

If I had to take a non-professional guess, they were looking for something like a PFO as an explanation for the purple nails and SOB. But that's just a guess. There are a limited number of things an echo and bubble study are designed to diagnose, so even without the doctor's help, you may be able to narrow things down for yourself.

Or have your husband call the PA and pound his hand on the table and demand that she tell him everything she knows!

I guess I do have a PFO. I picked up the report and had my mother look at it. (she does echos) Not sure what they are going to do about it yet....very scared!!! Its an asd
