Tips for calming your palpitations down

I was thinking maybe we all could post ways that we've either reduced or stopped our palpitations in the past even if it's only temporarily (like coughing) or for longer periods of time. That way we have ideas of how other people have had some relief from their palpitations.

Mine: sleeping as much as possible, exercising, small meals more frequently, warm baths with Epsom salts, lavender oil, acupuncture, keeping busy, reducing allergies.

Coughing, drinking black tea with ginger, getting in a car accident( completely stopped them for 2 years after months of non stop skips), drinking way too much wine and waking up with my heart racing and pounding and thinking I was going to die. When my heart slowed down I realized it was in perfect rhythm and it remained that way for about a year and I was able to travel to England without any fear. Obviously I wouldn't recommend the last 2 but it worked for me.

Nothing really works for me! Lol if I can sit down and completely relax they will stop so I usually try to distract myself with online stuff or games. Coughing does nothing. I feel like they come sometimes when I don't eat and other times when I do eat! Lol

Nothing really stops mine, I have tried coughing, burping, doing the "potty" thing lol, and mine do not stop, so I will just take a Xanax and ride the wave.

I reduced my caffiene intake and improved my diet which helped a lot. The medications have helped too.

Small meals throughout the day. If I overeat just by a small amount, they can start up.
Magnesium 400mg daily (has also helped with my stress level)
18.75mg of atenolol - broken in quarters morning, noon and night.
exercise

Deep breathing exercises. Magnesium. Distractions and things to keep busy. NOT taking your pulse ( I know this is hard). Anti-anxiety meds as necessary.

Sleeping always works for me, I've downloaded some of Tony Robbins stuff and when I listen to him they seem to go away. Going for a drive around the City at night seems to work well for me. As does the odd glass of red wine or watching a funny movie.

A good soak in a bath, or hot tub, with some relaxing music works for me.
