undiagnosed 31 year old with clues

Hi im a healthy 31 year old male
This is my story
Oct 2008 i was 28 i was sitting at my desk and my heart flip floped i felt preasure on my chest shallow breathing very hot dizzy and sweaty it lasted for about 5 min or so it scared the heck outta me
No medical attention given i know i should have gone to er but i
had not had enough time to actually call anyone before it subsided
Had a blood test showed everything good bout 6 months later only bad thing was ldl 115 but hdl 42 so im like ok i also excersise now all the time and watch what i eat i used to weigh 188 lbs

I was fine till oct 2011 when i get up from my desk and feel i should not be walking.keep in mind this is like more than 2 years later symptom free, so i walk and suddenly my heart starta pounding lke at 150 or more beats per sec. I felt hot but able to walk and was scared so i went to er i said this is enough i got health insur so.

Er EKG normal blood tests normal cardiac enzymes normal stress echo and abdominal ultra sound of gallbladder normal got my stress test up to 200bpm. Also had a holter monitor. I have all the reports. Only thing was pottasium 3.4 it shoukd be 3.8. Discharged the next day. After i got to er the symptoms where already gone

Dec 2011

Went to get item from cabinet felt tug that knocked the wnd our of me for 1 sec walked slowly and calmly to sit down took a deep breath and squuuuueeeze and rushhhh surge of blood im the center of chest followd by same stupid rapid pulse went away on its own 5 min went to readycare dr ran EKG said it normal about 1 hour after. Set up appointment with regular dr

Now i have started wearing event loop recorder and trasmitted a few more bur much less forceful events my text isnt finished but im having more in more proximity less intense beats i get sared but im like ok its manageable

I noticed my heart jumps to 115 -130 using the pulse oximeter my normal rate is about 90 when these events happen i tend to be walking my pulse is a bit high i was thinking sitting and its almlst 100

So thats my story im here now afraid everyday i going to die
Cardionet says the trasmitions are not enough to call the dr so i did a week later all i got was the trasmissions showed bouts of tachycardia well noooooo crap i know that but i want to see whai is causing them maybe an irregular PVC or i dunno

I alsp have been gettimg tons of pottasium since then and taking coq10 maybe thats what is making then less forcefull i also got a cat scan no dye to show if i had any calcification it was 0

So whats wrong with me my dad mom brother dont have this
My thyroid is ok but maybe my parahyperthyroid is, messed up my caclium is 9.8 which is a little high and, my EKG shows although normal short qt 320msec and st segment that upslopes with the t wave very short st segment i heard that could be indicator of too much calcium or the parathyrioid psh test or whatever they call it

I have no pain or problems excersising although when i walk i notice my pulse is higher and im afraid to walk briskly causeni feel uncertain

Also my back has been hurtimg for, many months under left scalpula and upper spine like when i do dishes wheni rest its ok
I need to know whats wrong i pray everyday because im afraid of dying

Love all you guys

Ravi

I had that a few years back. Innappropriate sinus tachycardia is what they called it. My resting heart rate was between 85-95. Any movement would make it jump to 130-150. It was hell for a while. I was put on a beta blocker that seemed to do the job. I'm sure you are ok-just another begnin condition. At the time I was told stress/anxiety was probably the cause. I refused to believe that, but I guess it may have been true. Try deep breathing to help you through it. If it continues, I would look into getting a beta blocker to slow your heart rate.

My er experience was very similar and my potassium happened to be 3.4 also. Doc likes to see it at 4. So I take it now with my mineral supplement. Also - if your calcium is too high, that could also be causing issues ebcause it competes for absorbtion in your GI. My nutritionist said calcium is over rated and told me to cut it close to nothing.

It sounds as though you may have IST or SVT. Those were my diagnosis as well.

Let us know what the recorder finds!!

wierd, when i had my regular blood tests my potassium came back at 5.0, and when i was having my panic attack at the er and they took blood it was at 3.2, but from what i was told panic can cause low patassium due to alot of mussel tension, the next day they retook it when i was calm and it was at 4.1. the doctor said if the lab takes long to test it, it can drop or raise the levels

Remember, a blood test is only a snapshot at one moment--your potassium could fluctuate more than you think from situation to situation, and day to day.

I guess blood tests are very unreliable. I only mentioned it because it happened to be the same. And because I had her look back and mine were always borderline low. I think many of us are depleted in minerals...regardless of how healthy we try to eat. Our water, our soil...I do not trust that our food really gives us what we need.

I agree it sounds like IST. I have that too. I was put on a beta blocker 20 years ago for that and SVT and it works like a charm to keep the heartrate under 100. Sometimes all I would have to do was raise my arms above my heard and my heart would jump up 30 beats.
It was really tiring. But it is not life threatening.
