Ventricular trachycardia
I suffer from PVCs but a few nights now I have had my heart race for a few seconds I have to cough hard to stop it. Its like many PVCs in a row with no normal beat. This scares me as this is trachycardia. Is this life threatening? Can my heart suddenly stop? Please advise me. This is a new symptom for me. I have thousands of PVCs but never trachycardia should I get checked out again.?

I can't help you much but it sounds like it's ok since it's stopping. I'm sure you could call your dr to explain how you are feeling and see what they say. Sorry I can't help but hang in there! Most likely stress. Since I have been more accepting and less stressed, I have noticed a huge decrease on them.

I agree with Jeff.I have a high heart rate anyway and from being sick the past 2 days, my HR is staying at 110 or so. I am letting it runs its course. I asked my electrophysiologist about my high HR and he said it's problem SVT and not to worry. I highly doubt you have any kind of Ventricular Tach. You would know it... Even NSVT which are runs of PVCs that last under 30 seconds are not that much of a concern as long as your heart is healthy. I know it's scary cause sometimes we cannot feel the "regular" beat between the PVCs, but they are there
