what do my holter monitor test results mean?

I was having some strange sensations in my chest so I went to my doctor and he set me up for a holter monitor and I got the results earlier today but I'm not sure what they mean and thinking I should be worried. Here's what the results said:

FINDINGS: This Holter ran for 23 hours and 34 minutes. The average heart rate was 74 beats per minute. The minimum was 52 beats per minute at 2:35 in the morning and 115 beats per minute at 5:20 in the afternoon. Patient had palpitations/ectopics at 12:30, 2:20, 2:34, and 4:34 in the afternoon, and 9:55 in the morning. The patient has 3 ventricular ectopics and 12 supraventricular ectopic events. The longest pause is 1.2 seconds. Review of electrocardiogram showed sinus rhythm. There appears to be no significant ST-segment changes or heart block.

FINAL IMPRESSION: SINUS RHYTHM, SYMPTOMS DO NOT APPEAR CORRELATED WITH ANY ELECTROCARDIOGRAPHIC FINDINGS. THERE APPEARS TO BE EARLY REPOLARIZATION ON THE TRACINGS

What does this all mean? Should I be worried? I'm a little anxious about all of this.

I think those findings are probably cause for celebration. Seriously. It looks like your average heart rate was great, your lowest heart rate was a bit bradycardic but probably nothing any doctor would worry about. The longest pause between beats fits the 52 bpm, so that appears to be fine, and the only thing left are a very small handul of ectopic heart beats.

I would imagine that unless you really make noise with your doctor that you want medication, s/he's not going to offer you anything, because it appears you're just fine.

Congrats!

Hey, that's nothing. I had halters where I had a few thousand extra beats and even then the doctor said not to worry about it.

I bet your doctor will tell you to runa long and play. thats what mine told me.

Nothing to worry about with that holter, the early repolarization is probably just a normal variant and nothig significant, if your doc thought nothing of it, don't worry.

My doctor says I have more than that and says I'll live to be 100. (I don't believe him, but that's what he says.)
