Worse pain everyday

well, i dont know what to do, ive had left arm, jaw, back, chest and stomach pain for like the last 2 weeks now. ive had this radiating jaw / arm pain for a good 2 months now that only gets worse as the day goes on, pain pretty much is there when im resting but if i start walking the pain goes away. i have every freaking heart attack symptom but my ekgs keep coming back normal or abnormal t wave, i dont know when im guna have a heart attack and these pains are getting worse each day. my big thumps have gone away but now im stuck with spasms and flutters. any one else share my experience or have found out what the hell this pain is? last but not least last night when going to bed i had really bad ice pick head aches, felt like some one was hacking at my brain with a knife. each stab only lasted a second but came in clusters. im am freaking out!!!!

My dad had a massive heart attack when he was in his early 50's. They put him on the heart transplant list and called me and said I better say goodbye. He survived and lived through another heart attack after that. Heart disease is in my family with a very strong history. My great grandmother died from one and my grandmother and 2/3 of her kids have had one. So I'm paranoid about heart attacks and get pains in my jaw, shoulder, arm etc. I think it's because we know the symptoms so they manifest! Either way, here is my plan. I'm reading a couple books about diet and it's effects on our well being and I think I might try what they are suggesting. All of them suggest veganism! It actually reverses heart disease in people who have it. The studies are pretty amazing. I bought one of the books for my dad too. I heard about it all on CNN's the last heart attack with Bill Clinton. The books are: Forks over Knives, Preventing and Reversing Heart Disease, and The China Study. But as a side note: you can get chest pain from breathing too deeply for too long- it's happened to me. And another symptom of anxiety or panic is chest pain. Take care

I would say with those symptoms GO TO YOUR DOCTOR. It is probably anxiety for ones that diffuse, but just to rule it out, go to the doctor for some reassurance.

I would go to an ER and they will run a thorough workuo and you will feel better however stress and anxiety I'm sure will cause all those those symptoms. I read once where a lady thought she was pregnant so much her body actually went through the symptoms even though she wasn't. The mind is that powerful. wish my mind would realize that and relax!

I think you should go to the ER. I woke up Wednesday morning feeling great was watching TV and suddenly got chest pain. Right over my heart. Tried to relax sit up straight etc but nothing worked. I started feeling nauseous and actually threw up. The pain went away for a while. I actually had an appointment that morning with my PCP. Sitting in the waiting room the pain was coming and going. I was feeling really anxious and my BP was high. They did 2 EKGs, the first was abnormal but it said possible lead reversal the 2nd was more or less normal. She had her assistant drive me to the ER and called her preferred cardiologist and asked him to call the ER. Her assistant, a 23 year old guy stayed with me all the time. They did an EKG which was normal and sent me back to the waiting room. 3 hour wait where the pain was mostly gone. Eventually got in and the cardio was waiting for me. He insisted that I was admitted for the night and do a treadmill the following day. I had chest pain on and off through the night but also a lot of stomach things going on. I was really scared to do the treadmill because I thought my heart would not take it. It went fine and since then the pain has gone. he did see one "blip" and I have to make an apt to go to his office next week for another stress was contrast to make sure there is no problem but he thinks it was gastric rather than cardiac. He also said if I am worried I can call him 24/7 and if the pain comes back today just go to his office anytime. Just knowing that I have this support is really encouraging and relieves the stress of being "alone"

My doctor is a vegetarian and probably vegan. This is a quote from my last visit when I was having chest pain "Mary's body is in Mary's hands and what she decides to put into it". I will check out those books, Thanks for the post.

I've had that pain for months, directly over my heart on left side. It would sometimes shoot behind my back, it hurt so bad and I was soooo scared. After soooo many tests it was determined to be my neck... I still get it but not nearly as bad or as frequent... seems I made it for myself too. :s

Wow Mairegra, that is scary- I hope you get everything figured out. My midwife told me you can have so much gas that it can radiate to your chest and I do feel like I've had that before. When is your next stress test? Since I started reading the books I've been considering even putting my kids on a vegan diet. It is so interesting and I'm pretty sure most of the doctors at my cardiologist office are vegans I know the nurse who did my stress test was vegan too.

Thanks dfor all the replies. Im just skeptical to go to the ER. Im 23. And the ER doctors kinda know me fromi when i come with panic attacks. This shouldnt be happening. I have gerd and the last week have been having tons of gurgles and stomach noises. I had my stress echo 3 weeks ago and it came back normal. I am getting a stomach ache and i think i might be developing a hiatal hernia. Also is angina positional? Ive noticed that the arm and jaw pain will subside if i change positions. This arm and jaw pains usually only there when resting. I thought angina was brought on by walking or. execise. Not usually just laying down or sitting up
