A need to vent

Okay, so today I get my even monitor, I'm excited..not happy excited, but glad to finally be getting this over with. I come home, wearing my little beeper type device, loaded with instructions and wearing my two leads. I didn't get any palps until later in the afternoon..a short burst. I hit the "record" button, and then went and phoned in like I was told to do. All was well until about an hour ago when I had the extra beats..2 and then 1, laced with palpitations. So, I record..and go to record again after the 90 seconds but find out, to my dismay, it will only hold 90 seconds and then I have to call in and transmit and "empty" out the unit. This isn't doing me any good. I was sitting there trying to transmit, all the while my heart beating furiously (not really, but it felt that way). What good is this doing me if I can only record for 90 seconds, then have to stop and call in? Should I call and complain, ask about getting another monitor that will do just that, monitor, not frustrate me even more?

That's weird - What's the brand of your monitor? Those things are supposed to be programmable, to allow the doctor to set the record length, but that ultimately it can only hold 5 minutes at a time. But it should be able to hold 5 minutes! When you said yours holds 90 seconds, I figured you'd be able to hold 3 recordings worth of 90 seconds at the very least.

Is there any kind of digital readout on your unit? Or could you take a picture of it and upload the pic? Because yeah, it seems strange that you would only be able to record a single 90 second event. If you post a pic or give me some more info on it, I can dig around to find out what that model is supposed to be able to do.
