That's terrible about your neighbor, but probably true - hard for sick people to get transplants when that resource is so scarce. But his situation is not your situation. Wake up call? Oh yeah, without question. But he isn't you.

I'm ok- my neighbors still in ICU- he will eventually need a heart transplant because some valves are almost "shattered" (no clue how that's possible but that's the news). My neighbor is sure that they won't provide her husband with a transplant because he has diabetes and other health concerns so I'm guessing they are going to let nature take it's course. . I'm saddened of course but it's just another lesson in no day is guaranteed for any of us and live life to the fullest. I go back to the cardiologist in two weeks I think - or later to get these new beats cleared so that I can stop doubting what they really are. But I know in my heart that if it was deadly something more than likely would've happened by now since I've had them since November. Plus... let's say they are bad- I'm healthy right now enough to get through it!! So anyways I'm good but stressing about other things like: my husband has shingles and other crazy stuff going on!!! How are you?

Hi Katie - How've you been? Hopefully the situation with the neighbor has settled out and you're not feeling the effects of that.

Thanks Jeff- I talked to my aunt who gets the same thing too and she's fine! My life is stressful and I just had to put a hold on my gym membership since my son is going through hard core separation anxiety. I know I've got to lower stress but it just seems impossible right now unless I wake up earlier or go to bed later which would mess with my broken sleep anyways.

But? I was fine. And since I figured out how to manage my stress better and got my heart tested and such, I haven't had a similar episode since then, which was 2 or 3 years ago.

I know you're trying lots of things to make these issues go away, but I'm not getting the sense that you're changing your lifestyle - you aren't doing anything differently, other than putting different things in your body. And while that might be a huge help, the way you described your daily life? Sounds pretty stressful. Two days and I'm usually ready to strangle my father in law.

So maybe try to work on the stress, too? See if you can't plan things out differently or organize things differently so that you can have more frazzle-free time?

You're freaking out, which is normal. Not helpful, but normal. Just like I did when I first felt that kind of thing.

Several times when I went running, while I was still very stressed about these but wanting to exercise to help get rid of it, I had my chest strap heart monitor thing on, and I'm running away, and then I hear this beeping sound. Can't figure out where it's coming from. I check the watch that receives the chest strap's signal, and it's an alarm going off! My heart rate was something like 220! And I was visiting relatives, in the middle of nowhere on some wooded gravel road. So I was a little panicked. But the whole episode only lasted about 4 or 5 seconds. Even so, I was too worried to keep running, and just turned around and walked as gingerly as I could back to my relative's house.
