    Jeff,
Yes, I am one of those nervous types about taking drugs. I have been having more frequent PVCs this whole week. They have been lasting a couple of hours and that never happened before. I have an appointment with my cardiologist in about a week to discuss if my calcium channel blocker is helping at all. I think that the paxil may be increasing the PVCs. The intensity of the PVCs is stronger with the paxil also. What do you think?

    Jeff,
I started paxil yesterday and my heart rate was definitely higher, never above 110 and that I felt a little panicky. I also felt more PVCs. How long does it take for the full effects to kick in?

Jeff, how long did it take for you to feel any benefit from your antidepressant and do you believe that for a person who has a "normal heart", is anxiety is the main culprit for PVCs?
    Thanks

Hi Karen - Re: magnesium: You know? I've never tried it. For some reason I'm thinking that I saw the results of a blood test at some point and my magnesium levels were fine, so I didn't see the point in trying it. Besides, I kinda knew that the problem was between my ears, not my ribs.

    Jeff,
Have read a lot about magnesium on the site. What do you think? Ever helpful for you?

    Thanks,
    Karen

Re: Fish oil (omega 3 fatty acids specifically) - I'm not sure if it helps with PVCs, but I know it's supposed to be good for your heart. I take it, but have never noticed a difference - if I'm having PVCs, they aren't alleviated with fish oil. But it can't hurt and it's cheap, so why not take it?

    Jeff,
Do you think that fish oil helps PVCs? I have never tried it.
    Thanks,
